France 24 has a graphic showing our changing nuclear world.  Three world maps show the number of nuclear facilities today and their location, the number of nuclear facilities under construction and their location, and finally countries that have indicated their desire to build nuclear facilities in future.

Currently there are 440 nuclear reactors on-line in 35 countries. Some 500 new reactors have been planned or proposed for operation within the next twenty years. Of approximately 50 reactors under construction in 2010, more than half are in China, India and Russia. China is poised to pass France and Japan in total number of reactors by 2030. At least thirty-one countries with no previous nuclear energy programmes have expressed their intention to build reactors in the short- and long-term future.
